Name: Alicia Schoroth

IG: @herpowerlifestyle
Age: 49
Finding light in darkness: “A time in my life that shaped me as a person was when my father passed. I was 26. It completely changed the way I looked at life and health.”
Keeping on the sunny side: Alicia’s sense of humour is what defines her to her friends. “I try to take a ‘bright side’ approach to every situation, and I love when I can make someone laugh.”
Diving deep: Looking for Alicia? Chances are she’s swimming. “I’m a master diver and absolutely love exploring underwater when we’re on vacation. It’s a whole other world. Some of the coolest experiences in my life have happened in the ocean.”
Favourite body part to exercise: Legs, with heavy weights. “We rely on our legs to carry us. I like to keep them strong, particularly as I age.”
Happy tears: The last time Alicia cried was when her husband finished his cancer treatment. “It was such a tough time. I was so happy he got through it.” .

Name: Ardra Scott

IG: ardrascott_ufepro_
Age: 47
Personal mantra: “My mother told me when I was young that it doesn’t matter what you do for a living, or how much stuff you have. If you are a good person, treat people the way you want to be treated, and do your best every day, you will always come out on top.”
Greatest fear: Failure, or disappointing those she cares about.
Winning feature: Her smile.
Variety is the spice of life: When asked her fave workout, Ardra can’t make up her mind. “My favourite
workout is legs. Sometimes it’s back, sometimes it’s shoulders – let’s be honest, I just love to work out!”
Quiet soul: “People are surprised to learn I’m actually quite shy. It takes me a while to get comfortable with someone new.”

Personal cheerleader: Her son was the one who inspired her to change her life for the healthier. “Being overweight left me breathless and unable to keep up. Now I can take part in any activity.”
Important attributes: Trustworthiness is of the utmost importance to Brandy Ann when it comes to friends.
Overcoming obstacles: It’s difficult to picture now, but Brandy Ann didn’t have any front teeth until Grade 7, earning her the nickname ‘Grandma’ in elementary school.

Name: Bree Thompson

IG: br33thompson
Age: 50
Priority number-one: “Becoming a mother has always been defined me. Many of the decisions I have made in my life had my daughter at their core.”
Difficult decisions: It hasn’t always been easy for Bree but readjusting her priorities has helped her home in on what’s important to her. “Recently I’ve had to make some hard decisions to break some generational behaviours that kept me from really living my life the way I have always wanted, without feeling guilty and or confined.”
Friendship must-haves: The two words Bree would use to describe her closest friends are honest and trustworthy.
Workouts for women: As Bree says, lifting heavy is important as we get older – “For healthy aging and for the curves,” as she says.
Taking pride: “I am proud of who I have become. I can say I truly believe that all the bumps in the road created one bad ass woman!”
