Staying strong:

 Watching her husband battle cancer truly changed the way Carly looks at life. “It allowed us to focus on family and really think about what it is that drives us. It made me see that you only live once. You need to go for things outside your comfort zone and follow your dreams.”

 Teacher.

 Carly’s determination is her defining characteristic. “If I commit to something, I will do whatever it takes to make it happen.”

Greatest reward:

 “I am most proud of being a mom and being a role model for my children. I love that they share my growth mindset and see the positives of leading a healthy lifestyle.”

Little-known fact:

 Carly once lived in Uganda on an island – in a tent, nonetheless! “My husband and I were on the Canadian Freestyle Kayaking team, and we lived there to train during the winter.”
