It’s been four years since Diane Brunet seriously got into fitness and she’s not turning back.
It’s hard to believe it was only four years ago that Diane Brunet got interested in fitness. “A friend of mine started competing, and I loved seeing photos of her physical transformations. Her pictures really inspired me. Diane started researching fitness competitions and became more and more intrigued. “I thought to myself, ‘I could do that!’”
Now 41 years old, Diane can’t see her life being any other way. “Fitness will always be part of my life. Working out gives me all my energy,” she says. She’s come to realize how strong she is, not only physically but mentally as well. “I like to push my limits. I’m perseverant. I never quit. And I’m full of energy; I never stop, from the moment I wake up until I go to bed,” she says proudly. Besides the boost in energy, Diane’s seen an uptick in her happiness and mental clarity, and she rarely gets sick with a cold.
“I generally feel amazing from the inside out. A healthy lifestyle to me is all around great!”
For Diane, it’s weight training she loves most for how strong it makes her feel. When others say that training is too hard, she’s realistic and believes that you have to set realistic goals. “You have to start slowly, but do it regularly and it will get easier every week,” she says.
Having support along the way helps, too, of course. For Diane, that comes from her family. “They’re my #1 support! While prepping for my competitions, they will eat clean with me and work out a bit more than they usually do!”.
