Sobered up:

 Drinking took me down a dark path and on January 27, 1998, I reached out for help. I started a 12-step program of recovery. I learned about myself on a deep level and became who I wanted to be. Since then, I’ve reinvented myself repeatedly: I helped my parents through the end of life, got divorced and remarried, had my sixth child, have seven grandchildren, I’ve gone back to school and four years ago, I traveled to India by myself.
